On the morning of Jan. 10th, a delegation of 7 members led by Mircea Flaviu Bobora, Governor of Hunedoara County, and Kiszely Fabius Tiberiu, Central Commissioner of the Government, visited ZUST. President Ye Gaoxiang and Vice President Zheng Youqu warmly received the delegation and held in-depth meeting, attended by directors from International Office, International Student Affairs Center and other relevant departments.

President Ye Gaoxiang expressed warm and sincere welcome to Mr. Mircea Flaviu Bobora, and delivered a detailed introduction to ZUST as well as the international education, pointing out that, with over 100 Romanian students pursuing their study at ZUST, Romania proves to be one of the main source countries for international students in ZUST. With various talents in different fields, these Romanian students have realized integration into ZUST family very quickly, achieved excellent performance in both classes and extracurricular activities, and have exerted positive influence in our international education.

Mr. Mircea Flaviu Bobora extended sincere appreciation to ZUSTs Confucius Institute at Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, for opening Confucius Classroom in Hunedoara County, and to ZUST for providing high-quality education and service to Romanian students. He also stated to further promote the education and culture exchange between Romania and China, to encourage more Romanian students to study here, and to establish more cooperation between universities in Hunedoara County and ZUST.

In 2014, with the approval of Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), ZUSTs Confucius Institute at Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca cooperated with local schools in Hunedoara County to open Chinese language teaching center there, and appointed one Chinese teacher to be there, in charge of teaching, cultural exchange and communication, as well as the operation of the center. In 2015, this center developed into Confucius Classroom after the assessment and evaluation of Hanban.
