By adopting advanced research information in the world and exploring the research capabilities of foreign experts, ZUST has been actively developing cooperative projects for application.
In 1997, upon approval of the provincial government, ZUST set up the Chinese-German Science and Technology Promotion Center of Zhejiang Province to further enhance our scientific cooperation with Germany and at the same time provide service for organizations in Zhejiang Province to develop scientific cooperation with German counterparts.
In 2005, ZUST and Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts jointly set up the Chinese-Germany Media and Design Research Institute, providing international vision and high quality design and planning service for Chinese and German companies.
In 2008, ZUST, Hochschule Emden/Leer, Hannover University of Applied Sciences, and Nürnberg University of Applied Sciences jointly set up the Chinese-German ZEHN Research Institute to cooperatively conduct research in the processing of new agricultural products, etc. The institute got funding from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Finance and Department of Science and Technology in 2009.
In 2010, ZUST set up Green Architecture Research Institute with the cooperation of Wilhelmshaven/Oldenburg/Elsfleth University of Applied Sciences to conduct research in the design, research and development of green buildings.
In 2010, the Automobile Electrics Research Institute was set up with the cooperation of Dresden University of Applied Sciences.
In 2012, ZUST signed the agreement with Fraunhofer IML, Germany and Jiaxing Municipal Government to jointly build “Chinese-German Modern Logistics Research Institute of Zhejiang Province”.
In 2012, ZUST signed the agreement with the University of Duisburg - Essen to co-build “ZUST – UDE International Cooperative Research Center”.
